US Prices VS Canadian Prices
This common question arises very often, we will take the Half-Fold as an example to show you that purchasing in Canada is less expensive than the US.
Half-Fold US:
Selling Price: $249.95
US vs Canadian 19% in October 2008 = $297.00 CDN
Add a resonable cross border freight (our prices include freight) +$40: $337.00
Fedex Brokerage fee for import +$60: $397.00 (they usually charge up to $75)
Your credit card will charge you 3% for currency exchange: + $12 = $409.00
And then you have to add customs/duties, which vary between 8% and 12%. These products are imported into the US therefore dutiable when crossing the border to Canada.
For the Standard model, there is also a US $10 fee for Oversize package.
It's clearly less expensive to buy in Canada.
