More on RAW Vegan
Well it’s been an interesting two weeks. I am really surprised that I was able to find all that free information on the internet. Also surprised to see myself eating some of those “things” I thought I would never eat. My daughter, 13, kept up with all the raw, my son, 16, about 75%. So it’s been pretty good.
Here’s my attempt at 100% Raw Vegan Nori rolls. And they were really good. What seems like rice is actually cauliflower chopped in the food processor at high speed. You mix a teaspoon of honey with a teaspoon of rice vinegar, add it, process it, and it taste exactly like the sushi rice, well close enough. This was actually a lot of fun for all of us, and tasty. (pictures removed)
Here’s some of the ingredients we used: Sesame seed oil, Braggs liquid aminos, sesame nut butter, coconut cream, pumpkin seed butter, macadamia nut butter, various vegetables - many, papaya and blueberries – these fruit ones were surprisingly delicious.
I also made a raw minestrone soup, which the two main ingredients are tomatoes and cucumbers; the two veggies I do not ever eat raw. My mother told me I ate raw tomatoes like apples as a child, I think I overdosed on them. Anyway, this recipe with added spices and coconut milk was surprisingly good, I actually had seconds… We will add recipes on our web site shortly.
This is all very healthy, you can eat ‘till you are stuffed and you will not feel tired or bloated. The benefits to raw vegan cuisine are tremendous. Search the net, there’s tons of info. You can start here:

Microwaves
Did you know the Soviet Union banned the use of microwave ovens in 1976?

Are you killing nutrients?

These are all very interesting, and based on facts and studies. If you do a search you can find that Health Canada says there are absolutely no risks?!?!?

Teflon cookware
If you own any Teflon cookware, you should consider throwing it away:

All are in favor, even Health Canada on this one. (from the Cancer Society)

Big Changes at Health Norm!
We are going international. We are now offering free shipping to the Continental US and Canada. This is a big deal for us. We had already sold to New Zealand, Greece, France, Alaska and many US States; so we opened up and now accept US currency. You can tell your friends and family from afar and although the site will be updated in the next week or so, free shipping to US and Canada is enabled. International orders are subject to an optional ground (sea) or air freight.
We are looking into adding the best Juicer available to our line of fine products. This will also be done in the next week or so, after we have chosen “the one”!!! More about it in our next newsletter.
In our next newsletter
- Inversion tables, the benefits of hanging.
- The chosen one; our new juicer.
- Due to the huge demand, we will find more info on Phytoplankton.
